Note: this formula contains reflective glitter which can cause the formula to thicken over time more quickly than other formulas. Reflective glitter is known to absorb some of the base ingredients. A few drops of nail polish thinner and a good shake can help adjust the consistency as desired.
Application: Apply 2-3 coats. Thick even coats work best for magnetic formulas. Recommend 1-2 layers of top coat for smooth coverage to preference and to help seal in the effect. Reflective glitter can appear more textured so 2 coats of top coat may help smooth out. A glitter smoothing top coat followed by a quick dry top coat works well. It is common for magnetic pigments to continue to diffuse as nails cure and throughout length of wear.
Activate magnetic effect: While the polish is still wet, use a magnet to activate the magnetic pigment. Keep the magnet in place for at least 60 seconds while the polish dries.
You can try these methods:
For a linear cat-eye effect | Hover the magnet over the wet nail as close as possible, or paint the nail while your finger rests on top of the magnet.
For a curved cat-eye curved effect | Use the side of the magnet to carve out a curve or swirl.
For velvet effect | Hover the magnet around the nail starting at the bottom and moving to the sides and top, use multiple magnets placed together to create a box with finger placed in the middle, or use a 20-30 lb. horseshoe magnet.
